People have asked me about my avatar-
Well the story of my avatar is at least unique: This is an actual picture of me. Ok no at least not on the outside. First of all I dont have a clue where I found it, it is probably copyrighted and restricted and banned from use for all I know. But it is me. I mean it is my personality. Clean cut, well mannored, nice, sterotypical Dad. -YET its a cartoon something someone else made it. It is the image of all that fundamentalism of the 50s. The image and not the actual thing. By being a cartoon it is a mockery of itself and thereby goofy and humorous (at least to me).
I think you can tell a lot about a person by how they insult or offend others. Example: If you never insult/offend others then I think you are weak in your convictions OR a recluse that shuns society. I mean if you are interacting and have convictions then your gonna run up against some interference. Someone somewhere is gonna find offense in you... case in point was Audrey. Who was deeply offended by my fundamentalism and I intern didnt think much of her liberal spiritualism. It just happens. But I am sick we could not reconcile somehow -agree to disagree. Anyway moving on..
When someone is offended by me its usually my humor. I think this is very ironic becasue I am insulting the person by TRYING to entertain them. As apposed to the other way of my firm stance on truth, philosphy and religion which I view as all the same thing. I guess the most telling thing I could say is that I see myself as being much funnier than anyone else thinks I am. I am ususally shocked when anyone is offended by me because I cant believe they took me serious to begin with.
So this avatar or symbol I use reminds me of this. This cartoon of righteousness. The humor in a happy dorighter that is merely drawn and not reality. God has made me who I am, he has cleaned me up but it is not my true self alone without God I am a fake and a cartoon of what I want to be.
